largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India the country, on Monday reported a marginal increase in net income for the quarter ended March 31, 2011, to Rs 659.86 million rupees.
The company posted a net profit of Rs 656.55 crore for the same quarter of fiscal 2009-10, Maruti Suzuki India (MSI) in a statement, according to a PTI report. Total operating revenues for the fourth quarter last year increased by 18.93 per cent to Rs 10,092.18 crore from Rs 8,485.83 crore during the same period last year, he added.
During the quarter, sales were generally strong 3,43,340 units against 2,87,422 car units during the past year, an increase of 19.46 percent. For the year 2010-11 has fallen MSI consolidated net profit of 9.23 per cent to Rs 2382.37 crore from Rs 2,624.64 crore in FY'10.
Consolidated budget revenues increased by 24.75 per cent of RR 37,578.48 30,122.51 crore crore in 2009-10. MSI has sold a total of 12,71,005 vehicles FY'11 against 10,18,365 units last year, an increase of 24.81 percent.
The Board has recommended a dividend of 150 per cent that is Rs 7.50 per share recorded for 5 rupees and 2010-11.
